This has been a hard year for the RiverLife extended family. We've seen more funerals in 2017 than anytime in our short 3-year history. Our family has lost mother, fathers, grandparents, and friends.
So, before the rush of the holiday season, we're setting aside time for a special service at RiverLife. It will be a time when we grieve, remember, and celebrate the memory of those family and friends who are no longer with us. Life can hurt for those who have lost a loved one, and during the holidays that pain can seem overwhelming at times.
This somber service will be a time of mourning and plenty of crying. But it will also be a time of healing, resting in God, and placing our trust and hope in Him. Pastor Greg, who lost his mom eight years ago, will deliver a message "How to Grieve Well". There will also be times of sharing and honoring the memory of lost loved ones.
You are invited to bring framed photos of departed friends and family to church on this day.
This would be a wonderful service to invite friends who are grieving the loss of a family member or dear friend. Even if they're members somewhere else or have never stepped foot in a church before, invite them for a time of hope and healing with the RiverLife family.
