“My vision is that churches would be intentional in doing life with their local and global communities. It is part of God’s restorative plan when communities of diverse people join hands to create positive changes and outcomes that are beneficial for everyone. My desire is to create opportunities for people to engage with each other and truly experience the Kingdom of God.”
Alicia has committed the last decade to serving her local communities and working in the nonprofit sector. She has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Church Music at Toccoa Falls College and her Master’s degree in Missions from Bethel Seminary, and she currently works at the League of Minnesota Cities.
Currently, she is committed to serving refugees and immigrants, focusing on the homeless, and doing race equity work at the League. She has worked a range of organizations, including Union Gospel Mission, Women’s Life Care Center, The Sheridan Story, and Breaking Free. She enjoys meeting with other community organizations to learn about what they are doing so she can strategize ways RiverLife Church can partner with them. One of her ministry passions is to help churches integrate missions at the urban level and overseas.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and foods and spending time with her family.
