“I enjoy building relationships, serving people, and being well rounded, that way I can be even more helpful. I have this desire to teach others to sharpen their life skills and to learn to have fun and enjoy the life God gave you!”
A jack of all trades, that’s Meng! He loves to play sports and keep active. From snowboarding in the winter to mountain biking, fishing and kayaking in the warmer months to, he loves to be outside and active. As his job title implies, he likes to tinker and fix things. Growing up, he spent his high school and college years modifying and wrenching on his Subaru Impreza 2.5RS turbo. He also likes to build things, such a greenhouse for his mom’s plants and a rail for snowboarding.
In his spare time, he volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Twin Cities. He has a “little brother” that he hangs out with, mentors, and just has tons of fun with. Meng has served on worship teams as a bass player for more than 10 years. He started playing the bass with a family band which consists of his uncle, cousins, brothers, and a buddy.
Meng graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sociology (law, criminology, and deviance.) He works as a social worker for Ramsey County social services in the Adult Protection Services department.
